The Ministry of Land and Resources comprehensively promotes the research and compilation of mineral chronicles

The 2017 Annual Working Conference of China Mineral Geology was recently held in Beijing. Peng Qiming, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Land and Resources and Leader of the Leading Group of Mineral Geology, Wang Kun, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director General of the China Geological Survey and Deputy Leader of the Leading Group of Mineral Geology, Yang Shangbing, Deputy Director of the Department of Geological Exploration of the Ministry of Land and Resources, attended the meeting and made speeches.
The meeting was presided over by Fu Bingfeng, director of the Institute of Resources, Chinese Academy of Geosciences, and deputy leader of the Leading Group of Mineral Geology. At the meeting, Researcher Wang Denghong, one of the project leaders, reported the main progress made in the research and compilation of mineral chronicles and made arrangements for the next step; Yang Minggui, a professor level senior engineer of Jiangxi Geological Prospecting Bureau, introduced the research and compilation experience of China Mineral Geology · Jiangxi Volume; Relevant leaders of the competent departments of land and resources of all provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) held a symposium on promoting the research and compilation of provincial mineral geological records; 48 subprojects reported and exchanged work progress.
Peng Qiming put forward three requirements in his speech. First, we should attach great importance to it. The Ministry of Land and Resources attached great importance to the research and compilation of mineral geological records, and set up a leading group. The General Office of the Ministry sent a letter to promote the research and compilation work. The Exploration Department arranged special personnel to coordinate and organize the work. It is hoped that the leaders of provincial departments and undertaking units should attach great importance to the research and compilation work, make it a key work, summarize the achievements of previous geological exploration work through "looking back", improve understanding, improve deployment and ideas. Second, we should have the spirit of craftsmanship, and work carefully. Attitude determines the quality of research and compilation. In the process of research and compilation, there should be no lack of items for the summary of existing data. The analysis of data should be in-depth. If you do not know the situation, you should consult and investigate, and give full play to the role of academicians and experts. Third, we should ensure personnel, funds, data and other aspects.
Wang Kun also put forward five requirements in his speech. First, we should fully understand the importance of this work. All provincial departments should jointly raise awareness, dare to sit on the sidelines, and adhere to it for a long time. They should actively mobilize the strength of all parties, be good at summarizing, and do a good job in this fundamental and public welfare work of laying the foundation and establishing a long-term vision. Second, we should recognize and attach importance to the change of the nature of work. "Compiling mineral geological records to fully reflect the results of mineral exploration and metallogenetic laws" has been included in the Outline of the 13th Five Year Plan for Land and Resources, which is the task of the national land and resources department. The General Office of the Ministry of Land and Resources has sent a special letter to propose a specific department for this task, asking for promotion. Third, we should strengthen supervision, guidance and coordination, change roles, supervise and guide, understand progress in real time, and more actively promote research and compilation. Fourth, we should incorporate this work into the mineral resources planning of each province and the annual work plan of provincial departments, and actively strive for financial support. Fifth, time should be subject to quality, and quality must be well controlled to produce high-quality products.
At the meeting, relevant experts also interpreted the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Land and Resources on Promoting the Research and Compilation of Provincial Mineral Geological Records (GTZTH [2016] No. 1973), which further clarified the roles and responsibilities of provincial departments in the research and compilation of mineral geological records.
Chang Yinfo, Li Tingdong, Zhai Yusheng, Chen Yuchuan, Pei Rongfu, Tang Zhongli and other academicians; Ye Tianzhu, former Director of the China Geological Survey; Xu Xueyi, Director of the Chief Engineering Office; Xing Shuwen, Deputy Director of the Resources Evaluation Department; Wang Zongqi, Deputy Director of the Institute of Resources; and relevant leaders from the Ministry of Land and Resources, the China Geological Survey Bureau, and the competent departments of land and resources in all provinces (districts and cities), as well as relevant leaders and project leaders of provincial project undertaking units More than 150 people, including technical backbones, members of the National Expert Committee and relevant comrades of the National Project Office, attended the meeting.
