1. China's coal reserves
According to the China Mineral Resources Report issued by the Ministry of Land and Resources on September 22, 2016, the change of China's coal reserves is shown in the following figure:
China's proven coal reserves are increasing year by year!
In 2015, China's coal proved 1566.31 billion tons, second only to the United States and Russia. In 2015, China's coal consumption was about 3.38 billion tons.
The identified resource reserves of coking coal in China are 280,367 billion tons, accounting for 13% of the identified resources of coking coal in the world.
2. Classification of coal in China
1> Classified by use:
China's coal can be divided into steam coal and coking coal according to its use.
The reserve of steam coal is more than twice that of other coals!
2> According to the degree of coalification:
China's coal can be divided into lignite, bituminous coal and anthracite according to the degree of coalification!
Classification and distribution of steam coal:
In terms of categories, power coal mainly includes lignite, long flame coal, non caking coal, lean coal, gas coal and a small amount of anthracite.
Classification and distribution of coking coal:
Coking coal includes gas coal, fat coal, gas fat coal, 1/3 coking coal, coking coal, lean coal and lean lean coal in bituminous coal.
3. Current situation of coal distribution in China
China's coal resources are widely distributed. Except Shanghai, other provinces, cities and autonomous regions have different quantities of coal resources. Among more than 2100 counties in China, more than 1200 have predicted reserves, and more than 1100 have coal mines.
Calculated by provinces, cities and autonomous regions, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Guizhou and Ningxia are the largest. Shanxi in North China, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shaanxi in Northwest China account for 25.7%, 22.4% and 16.2% respectively
North China is also the main distribution area of steam coal. Compared with the distribution of coal in China, the distribution of steam coal is more uniform!
